Approach from the side of the lake, and enter the woods. The air grows still and the path is dark. The howls of monsters is keenly heard here and the trees appear to grab at you. A winding path heads out before you and you can hear a stream. Also, they play Capture the Flag here, so this will be interesting.

Iason appeared at the Woods with the Apollo cabin. Stathis led them there, and they were all dressed in leather armour with golden shoulder pauldrons. They all wore golden bracers and greaves, with swords, daggers and bows. They each also had a helmet tucked underneath their arms. Takis carried the Apollo banner, a golden sun on an orange field. The sun literally shone with light.
Takis, Aros' ally in the cabin, was dark haired with dark olive features, unlike the rest of the cabin. He possessed divine skill as an archer, and was probably the best archer the cabin had, but he lacked any more spectacular abilities. Otherwise, he was a very skilled musician. Aros had Acoustokinesis and musical talent, making him the best musician, but also good for a distraction (though he practiced with his weapons relentlessly as a result) and of course Stathis could control light to an extent. Coupled with his bow skills, he was the best actual fighter in the cabin.
Iason was the meatbag, which didn't garner much respect, however he quickly found out that he seemed to have some prophetic abilities. As such, the cabin semi-revered him (as much as Aros and Takis could of course)as the Apollo Oracle, or 'Uniter'. They had also began calling him Farseerer, or Forseerer. It was a complicated set of titles, but the original enthusiasm had worn off when he had failed to provide a major prophecy within the first month at camp.
He had however, successfully prophesied that Aros was about to be pooped on by a bird, which allowed the demigod to dodge said projectile. Hence the first recognition of his very unusual ability. Rapid healers were relatively common, but those with the gift of prophecy were not.
They waited for the others and started setting up camp. Stathis directed the light to provide a fire, the banner was stuck into the ground and they set up a miniature range to practice. It looked like a very, very small, and really quite cute, army camp.

Prochorus made his way up with, I'm assuming, Sophia, Iason having already run on ahead. The edge of the woods was bristling with demigods, all armoured up, divided into camps of varying strength. They made their way to the Hermes cabin, one of the biggest groups, as Linos was directing the troops. He grinned at them as they made their way up.
"Hey guys, you good for this? Better watch out for the Ares cabin! They're some mean motherfuckers! That's why I get juiced!" He remarked, taking a swing of ambrosia.
"Linos... how much of that have you had?" Prochorus asked.
Linos shrugged. "A drop of two, why, are you going to take it away, I'll fight you," he started going into stretches. His toga was short however and the armour didn't cover much more so Linos was soon nearly as exposed as a Greek statue.
"I think you're burning up!" Prochorus shouted. Linos was red and his skin was steaming slightly. Prochorus remembered what Eurytus had said about not drinking too much. It was the food of the gods and too much could kill them.
Linos waved him off, going into a headstand. "I'm fine...," he said breezily. "Get some armour, Sisythus, because you can't outrun death otherwise!" He laughed at his own joke and started walking off in a handstand.
Prochorus led Sophia to the armour; they;d already been fitted, they just had to the find the right tag. While each cabin had slightly different designs, such as the Apollo kids sporting gold pauldrons and such. The Hermes armour was leather, with a very slight muscle outline, not like normal Greek armour, with reinforced Olympian bronze plates running diagonally from the shoulders to the waist where their tips met. The affect was rather stylish, coupled with the Olympian bronze pauldrons, greaves and bracers. Prochorus made a face as he tried to get his one before a Hermes child came to help, making sure it was tight.
He'd been practicing quite a but with the dory spear and he was getting good; Smeme even believed him to be talented, which was high praise from her. Therefore he had a standard sword, shield and spear strapped to his body. The effect was quite heavy; only constant use of it in the arena had prepared him for it.

Stathis ushered the Apollo campers together. 'We need allies so teams can be arranged. I want all of you to go and find us some allies and test the waters. Alright?'
They nodded. 'Yes Lord Stathis,' they all muttered together and headed off in different directions. Iason watched Aros and Takis separate warily. He didn't trust either of them.
He headed over to the Hermes camp, being the largest one around. As soon as he got near Linos he could feel the heat coming off the demigod. He looked red and Iason noticed empty ambrosia bottles littered around the Hermes camp.
'You okay, Linos?' he asked, raising an eyebrow.
'Never better!' he responded manically. His eye twitched.
'Er, good. Hey, would you want to join the Apollo cabin today? To capture the flag?'
'Sure thing cool bean!' Linos responded. 'We'll help the Athena cabin!'
'No, no, the Apollo cabin. Help the Apollo kids?' Iason repeated.
'Zeus! I'd love to be Zeus!' He was so jacked up Iason doubted he even knew what was going on.
'Hey, say Linos, can I be the Head of the Hermes cabin?'
'Sure! Here, have a bon bon!' He passed Iason a rock and the Apollo child left Linos to his delusions. Who knew what side they would be on.

Sophia made her way up, following behind Prochorus as he put on his armour. Her own was more feminine but thankfully just as protective. She felt slightly worried about having her legs exposed, as every other demigod had. What if a sword went for a leg? She couldn't heal like Iason. However no-one else seemed to mind so she let it drop. She moved over to the weapons and managed to get a knife and a sword, which she strapped to her waist. While she had focused mainly on the bow, she'd taken both Smeme and Stelios' advice and kept her close quarter weapons training up. However, as she raised the bow, sighting down it with her silver eyes, she didn't think many people would be able to get close.

Érika was already there with the Hermes' bunch; though her presence wasn't very notable, until she refused to put on the armour; already fully equipped with her own. "I'm not wearing it. End of story." She flatly said to the person she was arguing with. She put her own, bronze helmet on her head and picked up her shield, turning away from the frustrated ally. 'I need to test out this design...' she thought to herself as she dropped the visor over her face, leaving just a slit for her eyes. She didn't know if the visor would fly off in battle or bounce up and down blocking her view; but there was only one way to test it out. She would have tested it out prior to the task, but she spent so long perfecting it she ran out of time. The rest of her armour was a standard breastplate, then a pteruge of leather with something new attached to the sides to protect the thighs. Bronze tassets. Again, she wanted to test the new design. Standard greaves and bracers. No pauldrons as she didn't have time to perfect them, so she would rather forego them than wear substandard armour.
Érika looked around a little nervous, but the expression was hidden. Games like this were not something she was good at; they required people to be quick, light on their feet, stealthy. She was none of those things. She was big, bulky and slow. She hoped she wouldn't hold the team back... or get disqualified for wearing her own armour.

Prochorus frowned as he saw Erika wearing strange armour in the corner. She seemed to have some weird covering plate over her helmet, not like Prochorus' which was a standard Greek helmet, all one piece with a plume. He made his way over, tucking his helmet under his arm.
"Erika right? I haven't seen you much around. How are you coping with everything? The whole demigod thing," he asked. Prochorus usually had a sarcastic beat in his voice but he tried to make himself sound geniune, because he was. He hadn't talked to Erika much but she seemed a little uncomfortable; she'd seemed to take the most trouble believing in the Greek gods in more than a simple religious acknowledgement.

Whilst Stelios had been sat down at the lake, he'd noticed that all of the other demigods who had been there had wandered off and, becoming suspicious of why everything had suddenly gone so quiet, headed off, searching around camp to see what was happening.
As he got to the edge of the woods, Stelios could see all of the other demigods had gathered there, broken up into their usual groups. The area he had entered at was just by the Ares camp. Spotting Androkles, Stelios approached the boy, curious as to what was going on.
"Hey kid. What's all this?" Stelios asked, a puzzled look on his face. "O-oh hello there, erm w-well today is capture the flag," Androkles replied, half smiling at Stelios. "Ah I see," Stelios' memory was suddenly jogged, "so we're splitting into teams or something right?" "Erm w-well I think you're supposed to go and join your cabin," Androkles explained. "Yeh get out of here runt! We don't need the likes of you in our ranks!" the familiar growling sound of Alkimos' voice rang out as the brute approached. "Hmm, alright then kid, I'd best get going then, good luck," Stelios said as he offered the boy his hand to shake, ignoring Alkimos. "R-right," Androkles smiled back as he shook Stelios' hand before the mercenary turned and headed off. "You better watch yourself out there mercenary!" Alkimos called after Stelios.
As Stelios approached the rest of the Hermes cabin, he noticed they were all already geared up. He walked over towards the weapons rack and grabbed a sword, strapping it tightly to his waist. He placed the straps of his rucksack on the pegs the sword had been on before drapsing his cloak over it. He didn't wear any armour. He didn't want to put himself in the state of mind that he was going to fight a battle as he believed this was only meant to be a game.
Feeling prepared, he wandered over to join the others before the off.

"Put some armour on," Smeme said, appearing by his shoulder. Her own armour had strips of a silvery metal shared by most children of Athena. Though she was a good number of inches shorter her tone spoke of authority. She raised a hand to stall any objections. "I'm sure you have your reasons but you have a habit of being hurt," she smirked. "These demigods having been training for years. They're good. I wouldn't worry about anything happening. Also, it's camp rules. We want to keep you guys alive."
She scratched her chin, looking distracted. "That's not what I came to say though. I want you to pair with the Ares children. That's not a request," she told him, her eyes sparkling. It was obvious to her he was an Ares child, but seeing him in combat with his siblings would only prove that to her or otherwise. This was how many children had to be claimed anyway; otherwise half the demigods would be in the Hermes cabin.
She glanced at the new demigod, Erika, in her new armour. Hephaestus child. She'd let her adapt first however. Hephaestus was one of the better claimers however, so maybe she'd be in for a treat soon.

Stelios grumbled but respected her wishes. He could see where she was coming from with the whole armour thing but why have him join the Ares kids? Alkimos wasn't going to like this. Stelios simply nodded at the others as he made his way over to the Ares camp again.
He went over to the armour and strapped on a leather cuirass. Emblazoned on it was a warrior driving forth a chariot pipped by four horses that were spitting fire. The warrior was brandishing a spear as if he were ready to throw it. Next, Stelios placed the heavy Olympian bronze pauldrons on his shoulders before strapping on the gauntlets. The gauntlets were leather but had Olmpian bronze strips running down them. Lastly, he tied on the leather shin guards.
"What are you doing here runt!?" Alkimos growled at Stelios as he marched up to him. "Putting on my armour," Stelios grumbled in response, not even turning around to fully acknowledge the Spartan. "You are no son of Ares!" Alkimos scoffed. "Well I'm just doing what the Athenian told me. Looks like you have another team member," Stelios explained as he went to walk away. "Hmph! Like we need the help!" Alkimos scorned.
Stelios just continued to walk off to join the other children of Ares. "Y-you need a hand with that?" Androkles asked, gesturing to Stelios' armour as it was not all properly fastened. "Sure kid, thanks," Stelios grumbled, "so, do we have a plan? A strategy?" He asked. "Yeh! We beat the fuck out of the rest of them!" Alkimos re-entered the conversation. "That's it? No trying to make allies?" Stelios seemed a little puzzled. "Children of Ares have always gone it alone," Alkimos said proudly. "But the Hermes camp is the largest, we only have six, it wouldn't do us any harm to have them as allies, they're more skillful than you give them credit for, one in particular could be very useful," Stelios tried to reason. "I am the leader of the children of Ares and what I say goes! We are the strongest! We don't need help!" Alkimos was having none of it. Stelios just grumbled as Androkles finished sorting out his armour. This was going to be interesting.

Smeme made a quick pass again, this time with a hyperactive Linos at her side. She talked briefly with Alkimos; he didn't look happy. She made her way up to Stelios again. She spoke loudly though, drawing all the demigods in.
"I've just explained to the others, Prochorus, Sophia, Iason and Erika. But I'll reinterate for those who don't seem to understand. Capture the Flag works with two teams. Gold and Silver. Basically cabins group up together, form alliances, etc. But you have to have two teams, so Alkimos is just being stubborn when he says he works alone!" She turned to Stelios, lowering her voice. "Sadly your house is not with Hermes. AS you can imagine, Ares looks down in Hermes so it's rare they have an alliance. I'll announce the teams shortly," she smiled at him. "Next time, when you;re here longer, you'd actually go be part of trying to win allies etc." She nodded at him and moved off.
"Remember everyone, winner's do not have to perform chores for a full month! As a little incnetive, but this is training! Still, have fun, and no maiming. Iolus will announce the team results later." With this she moved off, joining the Athena siblings.

Stelios nodded back at Smeme, acknowledging what she'd said. Having been a member of the Delian League when he was part of the army, Stelios firmly believed in making allies, even if those allies had failed Amphipolis when it had been captured. When faced with an enemy, he felt it was better to look for allies as there was greater strength in numbers.

Prochorus made his way up to Stelios, having just had a muted conversation with Erika.
"Looks like we're against each other," he noted. "I just heard that Hermes and Ares kinda hate each other."

"I don't think this was the gods doing. I think this was one of your teammates being an ass," he said, nodding at Alkimos.
