"Right," Prochorus frowned. "That's Olympian bronze. It's deadly to monsters. It eats away at their essence. So no signs of who your Olympian parent is then?" He pressed. This man had obviously been around quite a while; he had to have some idea.

"Ha, Olympian bronze, of all the things..." Stelios muttered to himself as if to mock the sword itself, though actually he found the idea of a blade deadly to monsters quite intriguing, "no, no signs for me kid," he eventually addressed Prochorus' question.

Prochorus gave him a look. "Yeah, guess it sounds a bit weird but I'll take whatever I can get," he said, picking up one of the swords and hefting it. His head ached as a memory tried to get through. He'd had a sword once, hadn't he? He tried to grasp at it but it slipped away.
"I think my mother told me about my father once but I got some head trauma a while ago. It knocked all my recent memories out," he told the mercenary, annoyance in his voice. His pride was starting to prickle at being placed in the Hermes cabin just because he wasn't being claimed. He turned back to Iason and Sophia, who were still talking. "I heard you sneak out last night," he told Stelios. "Getting some air?" he said this casually, as if the answer didn't matter to him. He was starting to get more bitter about having been dumped in Hermes.

Stelios just made an inside groan as Prochorus began to waffle on about his backstory but he could sense the boy's annoyed tone. This was clearly something that at least mattered to the child.
"That is not your business," Stelios grumbled in answer to Prochorus' question.

Prochorus noted the lie in his voice earlier; (Zeus passive perk) he'd given him the chance to own up to it but he had failed. Now he could just see, or he thought he saw the disdain in his eyes.
"I suppose not." His pride was being wounded that he wasn't respecting him. He was treating him like a child.
"I know you're happy being a lone wolf, but try to respect those around you. I don't like being lied to," he told him. A stupid thing to say; who cared what he wanted to keep to himself but Prochorus' pride was his downfall.

Stelios menacingly chuckled to himself, "you don't hold back do you kid? Besides I do show you respect, the same respect I show everybody. I haven't done anything disrespectful per say to you. And as for lying, that's not one of my traits," there was a stern look in Stelios' eyes as he glared at the boy.

Sophia looked at Iason and decided to take upon his challenge. It wasn't the first time she had to rove herself and weird competitiveness overtook her. She hated when her brothers would do this to her.
"Let's do this Iason." , she said rather blunt.

Prochorus frowned. His instinct was telling him that Stelios was lying about not having a clue who his father was but he didn't know so he just nodded, setting his jaw.
It looked like Sophia had accepted his offer.

Stelios just went back to inspecting the weapon in his hand. He twirled it around a few times with his wrist before taking a couple of steps back and practicing some full swings and movements with his arm. The sword felt fantastic! It felt lighter than anything he'd ever wielded before but at the same time it felt very strong and sturdy despite its weight suggesting it would break easily. Comboing a triangle movement and then thrusting with the sword, Stelios nodded in satisfaction, as if the he had deemed the sword to be worthy of him.

Iason smiled at Sophia. 'Lets do this!'
He took his post and shot an arrow at the target. Just off the bullseye. It was a very good shot and he flipped an arrow in his hand. 'Beat that.'

Sophia smiled. She went next to the target and moved it further away a bit. Then she returned to Iason, took two arrows and shot each one of them perfectly in the bullseye.
She turned to Iason and smiled sweetly. "I think I beat your result. "

Turning round to survey the rest of the demigods training in the arena, Stelios' eyes came across Sophia and the other young man's little archery tournament. The young man seemed very sure and confident of himself and took a very good shot. Then the young priestess stepped up and put him to shame. Stelios raised his eyebrows in surprise. She really must have been well trained back when she was at the palace in Serdica. Despite Stelios having no interest in the bow, he was still impressed with the pair's skill, especially Sophia's.

Prochorus' eyebrows disappeared into his hairline. "Holy Styx Sophia, I didn't know you could shoot that well!" He felt he needed a lot more practice with the sword he was holding now.

'For now!' he muttered angrily. He loosed another two arrows, one of which hit the bullseye but the other hit the arrows embedded in the target and spun away into the ground.
Iason frowned in frustration. 'What the? How could you make those shots?'

A girl in full armour suddenly walked into the middle of the arena, her presence causing a stir in the demigods. Everyone stopped talking. Her hair was black as ink, her grey eyes burning. She surveyed the new demigods, a small smile appearing. Her eyes seemed to be working out how to take them down. Her smile suggested she'd succeeded.
"For our new demigods, my name is Smeme, daughter of Athena," her face had a warning not to laugh at her name. "I'm one of your trainers and will teach you intelligent fighting, strategy and also how to command any powers you have. I assume none of you are claimed," she directed at the newbies. She gestured to her right as a familiar face appeared. "Linos shall assist me." She turned back to the other 30 demigods. "For those who are still new, listen to me. To the others, go through your exercises, stuff you're weak at."
She turned her attention away as she moved closer to the group of demigods. Two more trailed with her, obviously unsure.
"To begin, I am going to test you on the basic weapons, get a feel for what you're good at and what weapon I'd suggest for you." Her eyes locked on Stelios. "You're a solider," she stated. "So I warn you; forget what you've learnt. You're learning how to fight as a child of the gods. Linos, tell them."
