Iason didn't looked concerned. 'Hey, your father is obviously a prick. He hasn't claimed you, and he doesn't care. It's why he left your mother. Poor little Prop!' He pushed Prop off of himself and brushed down his tunic.
'Take your best shot, I'll shrug it off.' He gave a smug smile at Prop.

(OOC okay cool haha ) Stelios swiftly raised his blade to Iason's throat, "let's see what'll happen if your head gets lopped off!" he growled at the young man.

Prochorus joined Stelios and raised his fist towards Iason but before he could get up the will to strike the thunder cracked the sky open. Demigods clutched their ears. Everyone was affected by the sound besides Prochorus. Thunder was like music to his ears (OOC; foreshadowing! 😄) but even he grew uneasy at this one.
Smeme came rushing up. "Lay off. Someone is Olympus was unhappy with, either one one of you," she muttered.

Stelios reluctantly and slowly lowered his blade but kept his cold and piercing gaze firmly on Iason, not even blinking, though he was grimacing as he clenched his jaw in pain due to the horrible ringing in his ears.

"I guess the gods do care," Prochorus muttered. "If their pride is at stake," he said bitterly.

Iason's rubbed his neck. 'I'm quite attached to my neck. Good to see you two agreeing on something though.' He glanced between them warily.

Sophia looked worried at the three demigods. The thunder pierced her ears even more than the rest because of her enhanced hearing-it sounded like the gods themselves quarrelling.
She approached Smeme and smiled friendly; Sophia liked her even though Smeme was quite intense. Despite this she seemed like a decent person, not like Irene who was both intense and pretty nasty. Sophia shivered at the thought of the bitter priestess and felt relieved she doesn't have to see Irene again.
"When did your mother claim you?", she asked Smeme.

"I just don't like your tone or your attitude, there's no need to mock the kid," Stelios held his stare at Iason.

Prochorus let out a sigh. "Just leave him, mercenary. He's just playing around," he said dismissively. He looked up at the sun, wondering. It'd almost felt like his father was going to claim him then. He was sure it had been his father just then...
A funny thought made him think Zeus but many gods seemed to thunder around. It wasn't unique.

"Don't make a habit of it," Stelios growled at Iason as he walked back over to the weapons rack and replaced the sword.

Smeme smiled at Sophia, adjusting her armour. "You guys should have armour picked out for you. Well size you later," she commented, her eyes distracted.
They snapped back to focus as she registered Sophia's question. "My mother claimed me before I even got to camp, actually. I must have been about 8 or something. I was living in Athens and one day, boom. A owl was just hovering over my head. My father got it quickly. As you'd imagine, he was a smart man, Athena having 'blessed' him with me," he laughed. "I'm sure he'll disagree on that. That's when I made my way to camp; Athena guided me, helped keep the monsters off too. I was lucky, as Athena kids are classified as a strong forces, you know? I mean, we don't have crazy powers like the other ones. Still, woe to the monsters for underestimating us," she grinned.

"So claimings are totally random?" Stelios asked as he joined the conversation.

"You're lucky", Sophia sighed. "I wonder why Apollo didn't claim me but claimed Iason. Can the gods claim certain children of theirs and leave the rest?"
Then she turned to Stelios, "Have you thought about who can be your parent? "

"Hmm it doesn't particularly bother me to be honest, I don't have much faith in the gods," Stelios grumbled. What he said was true, but his curiosity was well and truly piqued regarding this whole things.

Smeme handed Sophia a dagger. "Get a feel for it. Best to keep one by your side just because."
She turned to Stelios. "Yeah, it's random. And yes, some children can get claimed and others ignored. Actually, it's mostly random. But the gods will favour those who perform great feats. Or in Iason's case, it's just obvious. Sometimes they do it when they need their child to do stuff for them." She chuckled to herself. "Better to laugh than get bitter."
She smirked at Stelios' faith comment. "You'd best start believing. You're living proof of their existence. And praying to the gods may just save your life. Hades, it's how I got here."
