Iolas nodded. 'He spends a lot of time by the water but I think he's mistaken,' Iolas pointed out.

Eurytus nodded. Smeme muttered about him being a son of Ares. They agreed they'd continue to watch him. Meanwhile they'd do research on children of Artemis and keep an eye on Prochorus to see if he gets sparky.
Thunder cracked the sky open again, lightning lacing the sky. Eurytus sighed. "The gods are getting angry. I think... I think we may be looking at a war. If the goddess is not found soon, Eros may just be our undoing."
Iolus and Smeme nodded solemnly.

Sophia walked in the temple and climbed to the top floor as Eurytus had instructed her. She went through a door and found an old abandoned attic.

Sophia's eyes fell upon a disused attic, littered with broken swords, shields, various monster trophies. This place reeked of death and loss. It wasn't surprising it was shunned. Looking around she could see vials of Greek fire, a hydra head, various claws, a glowing sword...
But in front of her knelt, right by the window, a broken husk, a woman, so old and withered that she seemed to be decaying. Her head slowly creaked around to look at Sophia, her blank white eyes staring into her. It would be impossible for anyone to feel anything but dread.
Her voice was cracked and sounded like snakes being strangled. The force around it was powerful and ancient, but not particularly evil either.
"I am the Oracle of Delphi, speaker of prophecies from Phoebus Apollo, slayer of the mighty Python.
Approach seeker, and ask. What is your question?"

Sophia stepped back a bit unsure what to do. She thought for a moment what her question would be. The girl cleared her voice and spoke quietly, "Well I want to know what everyone wants to know I guess. What does my future hold for me?"

Her eyes turned green and smoke in the shape of snakes came writhing out of her mouth surrounding Sophia. Her voice turned deep, godlike. Musical and clear, it filled Sophia's body with reverberating power. Apollo.
"Go west, to find the creature who knows, But beware, that the friend is not all he shows, Travel by the light, to avoid the beast, But beware, don't eat, avoid that feast, Travel back, to family of those, To free the goddess, from all of her woes. But despair for your family, entombed within stone, Otherwise fail your quest, or live all alone."
The oracle slumped forward, silent. Her audience was over and Eurytus was waiting for her on the Temple House porch.

Sophia came out of the attic and headed downstairs. She was repeating the verse in her head and thinking what the old oracle was trying to tell her with that.
She found Eurytus downstairs.

The centaur was kinda tipsy, swaying in his chair. "What did the oracle say?" He blinked, his eyes losing focus.

Sophia looked at the centaur who was clearly not in a proper mental state and sighed:"Well she gave me a poem filled with symbols and riddles." The girl told him the poem.

Eurytus looked surprised. "It's not a poem; it's a prophecy. You should take this more seriously Sophia. This is your future. And many do not share their prophecies with other people." He looked down, shaking his head. "I'm sorry, Sophia. About your family," the centaur looked a little hollow. This is why he didn't like hearing the prophecies."
He moved closer to her. "I must tell you though, if you are to survive. Prophecies aren't symbols, or riddles. Sometimes they are very literal. Choose your companions. I'll send satyrs to collect them and we can discuss your quest further," he sighed.

Sophia froze. She kept repeating the prophecy in her head. Indeed it wasn't a poem or riddle, it was real. It was her destiny. The realisation of her father being in danger slowly crept and overtook her whole being. Her eyes filled with tears but she was trying to keep herself together.
"My father can't die. There must be a way. I have to save him somehow. "
As she said this, Sophia leaned towards a wall and started sobbing. There wasn't a way and she knew it. It was either her father or the quest. The girl suddenly felt too young and too inexperienced. All she wanted was too run away. But she couldn't. She couldn't fail the people who trusted her with this quest. Ambition and determination made their way through.
Sophia wiped her tears and faced the centaur. "I will lead the quest and fulfil the prophecy. But I wouldn't give up on my father. I will fight and I will do anything to succeed! ", she paused for a moment; her silver eyes sparkling fiercely, "Now these are the people I will take with me. Stelios, son of Ares, Iason son of Apollo and Prochorus."

Eurytus shrugged. "Who knows, potato. Maybe you're right? Maybe you're wrong and your own ambition will lead you into the depths of the Underworld to slowly burn alive as Hades laughs and laughs and sits on your father's corpse." He shrugged. "Who knows?"
He beckoned a finger and some satyrs came over. He told them to collect the demigods.

Sophia just blinked but decided he was a horrible drunk whose mind was too clouded by the wine. She wasn't going to let him dissuade her.

Prochorus came up, glancing up at the clearing sky.
"What's going on? Did you get your prophecy?"

Sophia looked at Prochorus and shrugged. "I did but it's not good. I have to either save my father or the quest."
As she said this she started pacing up and down nervously and rubbing her forehead.
