(OOC: He does indeed! He'll be able to tank having done it, being an experienced demigod, but he won't be doing it again for a little bit yet. Still, it wasn't as big a burst as it could have been for the day so he might have one more burst in the fight if it lasts long enough!) Linos wouldn't allow Stelios to regain his balance, and he kicked Stelios in the chest. Nonetheless, the mercenary tanked it and swung forward in the X motion. Linos dodged each of the swings, as before with inhuman skill. He just dodged every swing, stepping back lightly as he went. As Stelios swung up at the end of his attack, Linos swung the flat of his palm up to knock into the bottom of Stelios' fist, pushing up Stelios' arm even further as a result. Taking the chance to get under Stelios' guard, he thrust his fist forward, channelling the equivalent of Greek chi. ( )

Stelios was staggered back by the sudden blast of what felt like a strong wind. He span the sword round in his hand so that he was now gripping it like a javelin before he drew his arm back with his enhanced speed and quickly hurled the blade forward with his superior strength. As he loosed the weapon, he charged at Linos and pounced like a feral lion.

(OOC: Good fight! But I'm ending this now.)
Linos dodged the sword and as Stelios pounced at Linos he kicked him. Hard, as he was leaping through the air and the mercenary fell to the ground. Linos quickly picked up his sword, and levelled it at Stelios' throat. 'Good fight, but you need to be quicker. Move like water!' He grinned crazily.

(OOC not in Stelios' character mate ) Outraged at being toyed with by this pipsqueak, Stelios let out another growl as swatted the sword away and sprang to his feet. He unleashed everything he had, exploding onto Linos at his full speed and strength (OOC superspeed will be needed to dodge this given Stelios' enhanced physicalities). He gave into his anger and become determined to take Linos down no matter the cost. He let his fists fly, swinging left and right hooks at the other demigod before he unleashed an uppercut to mix things up. (OOC do feel free to end it now though, but obviously let me react to it )

(OOC: This is crazy but fair enough! I'm going to bed in a second so I need to end this! Just remembered - enhanced capabilities don't mean that a trained demigod wouldn't be able to dodge etc blows. It's in the description. But nonetheless, super speed time! )
Linos used up the last of his super-speed energy to dodge the blows with insane speed, before swinging the sword and cutting through Stelios' chest. (OOC: Or at least, that's his plan but feel free to react! - Linos will now be tired because he's used his power for today! He'll be knacked.)

(OOC that's cool dude, it ends here anyway ) Stelios' left arm seemed to instinctively act on its own as Linos swung the sword at him. The blade sliced through his flesh, ripping it apart and lodging itself in the bone. Stelios roared out in pain but also ferocity as he twisted his arm round to grab the blade in his left arm, blood oozing from the wound, dripping onto the sandy ground. Balling his right hand into a fist, Stelios threw it forward, aimed at Linos' face. It stood a good chance of connecting when suddenly Stelios was sent flying to the right, catapulting into the arena wall, the sword pinging out of his arm as it was ripped from Linos' grasped by the shear force that Stelios was hit with. Alkimos gave a menacing grin as he'd thrown his shield like a discus into Stelios' midriff. The shield had hit the mercenary with such power that it had sent him flying, shattering the brickwork of the arena wall as a crucifix shape was implanted into the rock. Stelios just grunted and groaned before his limbs went limb and he flopped to the ground, landing spread eagled, his eyes flickering as his consciousness began to leave him. "Well wasn't that fun!?" the mighty Spartan laughed as he looked round at the others, thoroughly chuffed by what he'd done. (OOC boom! fight ended! nice going Fate also, set up rivalry between Ares kids now after all they are the most dick swinging, piss 30 feet up the wall kinda lads you will ever meet well except Androkles hahaha)

Smeme was furious. She moved up to Alkimos and punched him square in the face with the hilt of her dagger. Let it be known that superstrength does not give you better durability than any other demigod so he went down like a sack of flour.
"You interrupted with a duel, a training duel with a cheap shot that could have cost the new demigod's life if you had hit the neck." A couple of demigods moved over with necter (like ambrosia just a drink, so same effects), giving him just a sip. Smeme glared down at the son of Ares. "You're on toilet duty, Alkinos, for a month if you;re lucky," she hissed. Alkinos glared at her, standing, his nose bleeding. "And if I refuse?"
Smeme looked confident. "Disobeying your commander, Alkinos? I don;t think your father would take that lightly," she told him, as thunder started to boom in the clear sky. The daughter of Athena was obviously sure in her faith in the gods. False or not, she seemed confident.
Alkinos finally bowed his head. "I understand." She let him go, turning back to the recruits. "I'm sorry, erm, what's your name?" she asked Stelios. She turned back to the other demigods.
"Okay, come to me now, tell me if you'd prefer to try a weapon otherwise I'll put pair you up and we'll train as you try it out," she smile,d putting behind that awful scene. "In swear, some of us have manners."
(OOC: Feel free to ask all your questions to Smeme and I'll reply tomorrow. We have something planned but first, try to get some training in.)

Stelios' eyes began to flutter some more as he came back round. Some of the other demigods were trying to get him to drink some more of the strange looking liquid. Funnily enough it looked like honey but even he could tell it wasn't. The wound on his left arm slowly began to close as the skin and bone began to knit itself back together. His midriff was still a little achy though. He hadn't heard Smeme speak to him and so he just slumped back against the wall, his face pointing up at the sky but his eyes were closed, a stern expression on his face. His pride had been quite wounded and he wanted nothing more than to be left alone.

'Good fight, Stelios,' Linos told him happily as he stood over him. 'That was very impressive! I'd watch out for you in the future,' he remarked.

'Okay, Iason, you're up next,' Linos told the demigod. 'Pick up a sword and remember to be quick on your feet!'

Iason grinned. 'Lets go!' He picked up a sword and swung at Linos with a clumsy blow as his back was turned. The other demigod turned like lightning, dodging the blow and slicing off Iason's hand with a gut reflex! (OOC: As agreed.)
'Shit!' He looked at his new stump, as blood poured from the wound. Linos looked shocked as well but before anyone could scream for help the blood stopped and suddenly, the wound closed up. Then, even more amazingly, a new hand began to quickly grow from the stump. It went from toddler to full grown in only twenty slightly horrifying seconds.
Iason flexed his new hand. 'Well, there you go. I can't say I wasn't expecting that,' he admitted.

With a slow buildup of light, a glow enveloped Iason. Above his head a golden lyre appeared, glowing gently. Prochorus look turned from surprise to interest quickly and Smeme and Linos stopped in their tracks. Even Alkinos looked like he was ready to bow his head.
Smeme raised a hand and everyone inclined their heads in respect to Apollo.
"The bloodline is determined.
Apollo! Lord of Medicine, Artisan, Seer of Prophecy!
Hail, Iason of Olympia, son of the Sun God!

Iason watched as the lyre disappeared from over his head.
'Cool gravy,' he said, looking around at the bowed campers. 'About bloody time.'

While he was happy for Iason that his godly parent claimed him, he was also bitter that it hadn't happened to him. He turned to Smeme.
"You mind if I tag onto this archery session?"
